1.         All drivers, owners, and crew members must be licensed.  Tech official may check any truck at any time without paying a protest fee. Any truck driver may protest any truck that finishes in front of him. Protest fee will be $400. The following items will be checked:  Carburetor and related parts, Cylinder Head, Bore & Stroke. Drop oil pan, Check Crankshaft, Engine location, Cambered rear end, Wheel width, and Tread width.  There is a $100 inspection  fee. (Fee to pull engine is $800 total protest fee; inspection fee is $200.)  PROTEST TIME: 5 minutes following display of checkered flag.  Protest form and fee must be given to Tec Official at scales within five (5) minutes after race.

2.  Only approved body and chassis allowed.

3.         TRANSMISSIONS: May be interchanged. Three and four speed transmissions permitted. No quick change transmission allowed. No centrifugal clutch transmissions allowed. All trucks must run a steel fly wheel in original location. Any heavy duty single disc or multi disc

            ( MINIMUM DIAMATER 5-1/2") clutch allowed. All trucks must have an approved scatter shield or steel bell housing. Starter must be mounted in forward, original stock location. Quartermaster or Tilton aftermarket, bell housing allowed. Bottom of bell housing may be cut for clutch service, inspection and ground clearance.

4a.       BODIES: ONLY FMS APPROVED BODIES ALLOWED

All bodies including windshield must be installed per FMS specifications -                              No door side  windows – Fresh  air duct adapter allowed.  Stock type bumpers required. No exposed bars. Stock width, length and height of body. NO HOLES PERMITTED IN HOOD, DECK OR CAB OF TRUCK. HOOD MUST SEAL AT REAR, TO WINDSHIELD.

           Wrecker hookup required front & rear of truck.

Engine fire wall must be 22 gage steel, no air ducts or tunnels allowed.

Interior drivers area of truck must be completely enclosed from front to rear and behind    driver with not less that 22 gage steel. The floor area on the right side of the seat may be  raised 10" to the top of the drive shaft tunnel and extend to the right door panel.  It is        permissible to angle the right side door panel from the drive shaft tunnel to the top of the door bar and seal off below the window opening.

FRAME REQUIREMENTS:

 A perimeter same offset right and left tubular steel frame and roll cage must  be used;        minimum 2" wide x3" high tubing .083 inch thickness.

A stock front stub frame may be used. Rear sub frame may be over or under rear axel.  Under-axel frame must be 2"x3", .083 rectangular tubing and extend min. 4" past rear axel.  2"x2" - .083 tubing may extend to rear bumper

            Minimum chassis and body ground clearance 4".

4b.       Roll cage to be constructed of roll bar tubing with a minimum outside diameter of  one and three quarter inches, and .083 wall.  Full cage is required with four uprights and   four top bars.  Main roll cage must be welded to the top outside frame rail of left and right frame rails.  Minimum of four (4) horizontal  bars in drivers and passenger door required.  All bars in driver’s compartment must be .083 tubing and covered with roll bar padding. All bars are to conform close to body configuration.  All trucks must have a center windshield bar, .065 x 1 3/4 tubing.  Driver’s door bars must be covered with metal plate minimum 1/8" thickness.

5.         TIRES  with Series ID  required on all four  tires.  Any truck tires with counterfeit ID or tires from any source other than FMS truck series will be disqualified, a $500 fine imposed, and suspension from any series race for an indefinite period. Tires are to be used as purchased from FMS. NO CHEMICAL TIRE TREATEMENT ALLOWED.

6.         Maximum wheel width 10". Steel wheels only. Maximum tread width sixty-five (65) inches,

            + or - ˝".

7.         SPOILERS: Five (5) inches in height by sixty (60) inches in length. Must be self supporting.

8.         SHOCKS: Coil over shocks allowed. Maximum one (1) shock per wheel. Aluminum or steel threaded or smooth body .The shock body / cylinder must be the same size top to bottom. No attached or remote reservoirs or adjusting devises. Shock claim rule; The speedway or any driver that competed in the race may claim any or all shocks on a truck for $150.00 each. Less all hardware. Any driver that refuses a claim will forfeit all prize money and finishing position

9.         Wheelbase 112". + OR – ˝ “

10.       REAR ENDS: Heavy duty rear end or truck floater rear end required. Any ratio. May be locked. Quick change rear ends allowed. Rear suspensions may be coil, leaf, three (3) link, truck arm or coil over. Maximum 1 degree camber!  NO REAR SWAY BARS ALLOWED! LOCKED OR DETROIT LOCKER ONLY !NO LIGHT WEIGHT QUICK CHANGES.

11.       All ignition systems must be acceptable to FMS officials.  No magnetos or computerized systems are permit able.  No adjustable timing controls permitted.

Race trucks will not be permitted to carry onboard computers, microcontrollers,                             processors, recording devices, electronic memory chips, traction control devices, or                      digital readout gages.

12.       FUEL CELL REQUIRED!! MUST BE ENCLOSED IN STEEL CONTAINER.  MAXIMUM CAPACITY 22 GALLONS. MINIMUM GROUND CLEARANCE 10".

13.      Sunoco Racing Fuel  purchased from FMS  is the only approved fuel. Fuel must pass fuel test ,same color, same smell, same specs as track fuel. Any additives detected in  fuel will result in disqualification. YOU MUST PROVIDE A SALES RECEIPT FOR A MINIMUM            OF EIGHT GALLONS OF TRACK FUEL,TO THE TEC. OFFICIAL BEFORE YOU TIME TRIAL.

14.       WEIGHT: CARBURETOR  Minimum total weight, 2,800 lbs. & 1200 lbs. rt. side wt. built engine  trucks. 603- G M ZZ 4 crate engine trucks 2750 & 1175 rt. side.

           GM, Ford and Dodge equipped with an  APPROVED 7448-350 H.P. Holley Carburetor,

           G M. 350 C.I. 603 ZZ4 stock crate engine may use a 390 four barrel  Model H.P.

           Ford & Dodge crate  engine will use the Holley 4412, 500 cfm carburetor.

           Carb 450 cfm 3050 -1320 rt side. GM 602 CRATE ENGINE 650 CFM CARB. 2750 lbs. 1175 rt.

15.       Bolt on weight may be added but it must be painted white.

16.       Headers may be used.         

17.       Oil coolers allowed.  High pressure,  reinforced hose, with screw on fittings required.  No    adjustable hose clamps allowed.  Oil cooler and pan must be approved. No dry sump      oiling systems allowed.

18.       Trucks that exceed maximum or minimum specifications may be permitted to compete     with a weight penalty imposed.   Must be approved by Series Director before competition.

19.       TWO WAY RADIOS ALLOWED. Officials may scan your radio transmissions.  Any driver,     truck owner, or crew member that uses his radio to interfere with other drivers, such as                blocking, rough driving, or anything detrimental to  the sport may be disqualified and                    prohibited from using a radio in any future races. Your radio frequencies must be                           provided to Official prior to use.

20.       USE OF ANTIFREEZE WILL RESULT IN A $200 FINE AND INDEFINITE SUSPENSION.

21.       Aluminum seat required with padded head rest.  Rear view mirror must not extend                          outside of truck. A Window is net required.

22.      ENGINE LOCATION:

           All engines/ all trucks:  two (2) inch maximum set back, center of number one (#1) spark               plug hole with the center of upper ball joint.  Checked with caster set at 1-1/2 degrees                    positive maximum.  Minimum 12" crankshaft to ground clearance. ENGINE: 358 C.I.                        GM engines; 360 CI Chrysler engines; 351 CI Ford; OEM Stock stroke for all engines                      required. Maximum over bore .045. Flat top pistons required, piston may not come out of                block.

23.      Engines may be interchanged, i.e., Chevy engine in Ford bodied truck.

24.      Crankshaft minimum weight: - 50#

25.      Camshaft: Hydraulic or flat tappet cam allowed- No roller cams allowed.

26.      Roller rocker arms allowed.

27.      Wet sump oil system required.  (No external oil pumps allowed.) 

28.      Speedway approved cast iron cylinder heads required.  No grinding, polishing or port  matching. NO MODIFICATION ALLOWED!!   Minimum 62 c.c.            

  29.     INTAKE; CHEV. 2101; 2750 FORD; 2176, P4529295, CHRYSLER intake required.  No grinding, polishing or modifications allowed, DON'T TOUCH IT.

 

Note; ANY ENGINE PARTS, CHASSIS OR BODY PARTS THAT WERE PREVIOUSELY APPROVED FOR USE IN THE LATE MODEL SUPER TRUCK SERIES AT F.M.S. FROM 1996 THROUGH 2007 WILL BE ALLOWED DURING 2008.

           

30.       No cold air box or cowl induction allowed. Air cleaner and air filter size:-Minimum 12"-     Maximum- 14" diameter.  Minimum height 1 ˝", Maximum  height 4". No ducts or other air directional devices allowed leading to or on air filter base.

31.      Weight of trucks may be increased or decreased to assure an equal competitive race program.
