DRIVER REQUIREMENTS
Eligible
drivers must be 13 years of age or older, and apply
for and possess a valid FMS
license. Proof of age required. All drivers 18 years and under your parents
or guardian must sign a minors release to participate in any event.
RACE
REQUIREMENTS
Any
drivers that finish a race 1st and 2nd will start the next race he/she enters in 8TH
and 9th. All starts and restarts will be double file. Any driver that wins 3 consecutive races will start last in the next race they enter.

PROTESTS
FMS officials may check any part of any car, at any time,
without paying a protest fee. A
driver may protest any car that finishes in front of his/her car. Protested car
/driver may protest the car/driver that protested his/her car. If the protested
car is declared legal, the driver that filed the protest. will pay the track
fee. If the protested car/driver is declared illegal he/she will pay the track
fee. Protest for top of engine, Engine -Location,
carb,.intake, cam lift, valve lifters, valves, valve springs, cylinder head,
bore stroke, Fee $200. There is a $50
track fee Protest bottom & top of engine, crankshaft, rods, pistons, Fee is
$300 There is a $75 track fee. Protest time: 5 minutes following end of the race.
VISUAL PROTESTS Must be filed
a minimum of 20 minutes before
your race Any item that does not require disassembly or use of a technical
measuring tool .The FMS tec. official may refuse to accept any protest that he
feels is not valid. His decision is final.
COMPETING MODELS –
BODY – SUSPENSION
-
1960 through
2007 models. Front and rear wheel drive. Only standard OEM production engines. No hi performance engines
or sports cars. No dual overhead cam, No turbo or super charged engines. All
cars OEM stock includes - Frames, all engine parts, suspension parts, all
steering components, wheel base, OEM rear end, gear may be locked, no posi
traction or lockers, Every thing must remain OEM stock or OEM stock replacement
parts. unless specified in these rules. Lowest rear gear ratio - 3.70
A fuel cell is
recommended. Trunk area must be complete .A steel rear fire wall between
drivers compartment and fuel tank or fuel cell is required. A full roll cage
is required. All
flammable interior must be removed. A windshield or ¼” steel hardware
wire required. Body must remain stock appearing. All front and rear lights and
chrome must be removed. All large
holes must be covered with metal and painted color of car. Doors must be
permanently secured. Front fender wells may be removed. Front and rear fenders
may be cut for tire clearance. Bumpers may be reinforced behind the bumper.
ENGINE
Any cubic
inch , 4 -6 or 8 cylinder. OEM std.
performance stock engines. No headers allowed. OEM stock low performance intake. Standard
fuel injection allowed. OEM stock carburetor for engine in car.(Refer to
OEM engine manual to verify required engine parts, carburetor and fuel
injection system).
TRANSMISSION - CLUTCH/FLY
WHEEL - DRIVESHAFT
OEM automatic, 3,
4 or 5 speed transmission allowed. All gears must work. All clutches and flywheel assembles must
be OEM stock for engine and car. OEM stock driveshaft must be painted white.
SPRINGS – SHOCKS
– STRUTS
After market racing
springs or OEM type coil springs. OEM replacement shocks and struts mounted in
stock location. Spring spacers allowed. adjustable spring cups. Rear leaf
spring lowering blocks allowed. Rear spring hangers maximum 4 holes for
adjustment. OEM sway bar in stock location. Sway bar links may be
adjustable.
BRAKES - WHEELS - TIRES
OEM brakes
including, calipers and master cylinder. Must have working brakes on all 4
wheels
All wheels must
be same size, width and off set. Maximum 8” wide wheels
DOT street
radials maximum 225 or BF GOODRICH
scuffs purchased for your car from FMS with current ID.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Only one 12 volt
battery. Battery may be relocated but must be securely bolted down and in a
battery box.
OEM stock

must be mounted within reach of the driver.

Unleaded pump gas
or FMS race fuel only

OEM or after market aluminum or
copper radiator allowed.

No weight of any kind may be
added/attached to the car.

YOU TO LEARN HOW TO DRIVE A CAR IN A RACE AND BECOME A GOOD RACE CAR DRIVER. WE
WELCOME YOU TO RACE IN THIS CLASS, BUT IF YOU BREAK OR CHEAT ON ANY RULE YOU
WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RUN IN THE STREET STOCK CLASS. LETS PUT THE FUN BACK
IN RACING !
